This time it's the Scottish Play at bat in a perfectly blood-soaked modernization featuring powerful performances from James MacAvoy, Richard Armitage, and Keeley Hawes. Sammi and Beau begin their 4-Part series on Shakespeare ReTold from 2006, beginning with the Shirley Henderson/Rufus Sewell powerhouse that it Taming of the Shrew. A perfectly imperfect adaptation that nevertheless impresses the viewer with the powerful chemistry and near-flawless comedic timing between the two leads. As a bonus, seeing Rufus Sewell in fishnet stockings checked one item off of Beau's bucket list.
